Well when they did “try” to be there for me, all I got was judgement, them pushing how I should heal from my burnout. And when I told them that their way wasn’t helping me mentally I was ignored because I was upset and then told I was a bad friend because even if you are in a bad place mentally a “real” friend would take judgement 🤡. All i asked was a little less judgement and a little more support and low effort get together so now and then with food and a movie or just chilling or a walk. But guess setting that “boundary” was not ok.

In my case, i specifically focused on never expecting much or anything back. They needed a friend, support through some tough times. The irony is once they grew their confidence and strength, they turned it on me. Simply "i'm strong, i don't need anyone" one random day and disposed.

This was me in all my friendships even with family too. I kept over giving and over giving as in hey see me see me how hard I go for you this should now be reciprocated right? But it doesn’t work like that. It works in favoritism. And who people favor. And it’s exhausting and I’m so tired of it.
