nzeogwu took tom bigger for leverage after being commander for the reconnaissance mission by ojukwu. remember nzeogwu has more influence in the Biafra military camp in Enugu than ojukwu. instead of giving him a commanding position he made him a field officer subsequently sent to nsukka for a reconnaissance knowing that Nigeria army has already captured nsukka. this is one of the reasons ifeajuna and co plotted a coupe against ojukwu and to negotiate for a Biafra surrender early in the war.
