well technically the first one lets in 3% of UV rays while this one only lets in 1%. it is therefore reducing the UVs allowed to get in by 67%.

My understanding is that you want the higher spf because almost no one is putting enough on consistently to actually get the spf rating on the tube… so you want to start off with the higher spf so that you are slightly more protected.

Think of a sunscreen’s efficacy in terms of how much UV it allows, not how much it blocks (shoutout to Lab-muffin beauty science for that fact)

I thought the difference was on how much you should put per day. SPF 30 is every 2 hours in the sun while 100 is every 7h but I don’t remember where this info comes from 🫠 take care 🥰
