I bought an entire box of snickers (used to be my favorite snack) and asked my aunt to hide them in the kitchen, so I would only have them during my senior year exam season. I “saved up” calories thinking “no, I can wait for the sneakers, I will need room for them”. Whenever I dreaded exam season, I would take comfort in knowing I could have as many sneakers as I wanted so I can’t be that bad. Turns out my grandma found the hiding spot. There were only two left. I cried about it in therapy.
