Honestly the chicken alone looks 10x better than anything I've had in UK Nandos in the last 2-3 years. They just don't even seem to bother grilling it properly over here now, it's slapped on for a few mins then served. No crisp to the skin and lacking any sort of grilled flavours, might as well take it straight from the hot drawer slap some sauce on it and stick it on a plate. Same whether eat in or take away, speed over quality it seems (which they've got neither now!)

Back in the day, at the start, that Ealing Nando's branch actually failed miserably, and the owner, Dick Enthoven, decided it was time to pull out of the UK. However, the family suggested giving Robby, one of the sons, a chance to try and save the investment. Dick Enthoven gave him six months' worth of money to cover losses, expecting his son to fail as well. But Robby turned it around and established the powerhouse casual dining operation it is now. People might be complaining about it today, but it pulled in over £1 billion in revenues in the UK alone last year, and it's one of the most profitable parts of the Enthoven family empire (they are multi-billionaires).
