Explanation: idk how it sounds to the foreigners, but to Koreans, it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to hear what they were saying in the song. Korean fans absolutely loved the animations and art styles, but the song itself was the issue. Their pronunciation, vocal skills, mixing, etc were criticized by the fans (especially the pronunciation). The ppl who sang the opening were two vtubers who had a young fanbase in Korea (their fans can’t even access the manhwa since it’s 19+). Their videos and main focus in their channels weren’t even about singing. They are just gaming vtubers who had zero connections with music, and are frequently shipped tgt by their fans. Ig shipping isn’t a problem, but it got to the point where their fans spammed abt the ship in the comment section of the one room ta opening video. That led to intense stress to the original manhwa fans, who have been waiting for this adaptation for years. This caused the two fandoms to fight on many platforms, including X, youtube, TikTok, and even on those vtubers’ videos. They were mad that laftel, a huge company who sponsored thousands of animes, used random YouTubers, who had no connections with music, to sing the opening of their long awaited show. And yes, the pronunciations were pretty bad😬 but don’t worry, they are going to either re-record or hire new singers to upload a newer version of the opening
