what's even worse, in my eyes, is the number of packages on which the resealable seal is stronger than the glue used to attach the seal to the bag! you go to open it and instead of the seal opening, one side of the seal separates from the bag and now it's a non-resealable package!

I work in a grocery store bakery and we have icing buckets that have pull tabs and they are never perforated. I have to take scissors and saw through a plastic bucket lid to get it to open. It's so annoying.

Don’t even get me started on the edge of a mac and cheese box where you’re supposed to press your thumb to open. IT DOESN’T WORK!!!

then you get the bags that have perforated edges and they rip up both sides and it's not deep enough to use the resealable part or to open the bag

I need resealable bags to actually have the tear line below where the edges aren't stuck together, so I don't pull the tab and still have to use scissors because there's 2 milimeters still sealed. AND leave enough space between the tear and the closure, so I actually have something to grip onto when I try to open the dang bag

Have you seen the like Velcro resealable food bags tho? They’re a miracle of modern (single-use/waste) plastic science. What a time to be alive!

Nothing has torn properly for years. The worst is the plastic + thin cardboard situation. Those haven’t opened easily in like a decade. They used to be easy and satisfying but now you need a table saw to open them😭

if it does tear it tears wrong. sometimes its rips away from the part thats supposed to reseal and my fav, assuming everything else goes right, especially for nuggets, it takes 3-5 business days to actually seal it.

it's been way longer than a year. I've noticed the exact same thing for, idk, at least a decade. my personal theory is that the perforation blades at packaging facilities are never changed or sharpened because it's a little stupid nuisance but no employees actually knows how to do it

why aren't they resealable, bc then you wouldnt need bag closers, and if they became resealable, then all of those bag closers would go to the land fill.
