@thepaintedfurnitureshed: Searching for our new home in France !!🥰Struggling to find somewhere open to eat on a Sunday afternoon in France ! 🇫🇷🍔🍟#french #burger #moving #newhomejourney #hungry
Welcome to France! 🇫🇷 We gave you 365 types of cheese, wine older than your grandparents, 5-week holidays, and bread that should probably be classified as a national treasure… but on Sunday afternoon even the French want a nap. 😅
If you’re looking for a restaurant at 3pm on a Sunday, you’ve accidentally discovered one of our oldest traditions: ‘Non, c’est fermé.’
Consider it cultural immersion. 😉

Sundays in France are like the Sundays we had in the U.K. back in the 80s/early 90s before Sunday trading law eased. It’s actually lovely to have a full reset day once you get used to it.

Bless you. You sound a bit pissed off at the beginning. It is a different way of life here. It takes getting used to. Trust me. 30 years here . Good luck

Everything is closed in France on Sundays ( and quite a bit on Mondays in our area ), the only things that are open are restaurants between 12 and 14,30 approx.

you need to embrace the French culture if you move here, particularly outside of Paris..lunch is 12-2.30pm Sunday and Mondays are more difficult and if you don't book in advance or call to reserve a table it's more difficult..
