The problem with capitalism is that laws like that are inevitable, capitalisms natural evolution requires profit growth and it will always bend the rules (or in this case make new ones) that allow it to override checks and balances. Time and time it shows us we cannot have immense hoarded wealth and democracy, we have to pick one. Great explanation and point though

I feel like most people who heavily criticize capitalism haven’t read Smith. Smith’s writings actually align far more with democratic socialism than modern day American capitalism, and Smith’s ideals actually laid the groundwork for Marx and Marx and Smith agreed on a lot more than you would think.

I think you have a misunderstanding of what communism is. Communism is when there is no state or government and the workers have all power and get all value from their labor. Socialism is just using the government to implement communism. Socialism is usually when corruption happens, but that is not a fault of communism, but rather external pressure or occasionally people getting comfortable with socialism.
