@malboudehane: 6 days out Wales 50 Miler🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Stomach? Elevation? Feet? 50 miles itself? All can be pretty concerning, never mind during your first point to point ultra I’ve had time practicing hills, my nutrition, socks etc etc One thing I’ve not had practice with is the technical terrain of the Welsh mountains which can be devastating if you take a wrong stop I’ve taken a few falls in single dirt track and went into the bush today never mind the mountains Not much I can do outside of just take it easy, be careful and stay vigilant (which I will do) Really excited now, done all the hard work I can in this run focus block in the last 6 months Going from running on the trails once in my life, to every week, building up sessions from 2-5 hours, back to back days with easy efforts on tired legs The only thing that would make me better is more time doing what I was doing but you can’t wait around forever Last session done today before we pull back and begin race week tomorrow 😎 GB Ultra Wales 50 miler @ultra_wales #ironman #ultrarunning #trailrunning #ultramarathon
