I can’t get her out of my head. She ended things with me in 2022 because she quote “wasn’t ready for a relationship.” And at the time, I even believed her. I figured, you know maybe the timing was wrong, maybe she was in a place where she couldn’t commit to anyone. So I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and that made it hurt a little less. But then life kept moving. Now she’s married to someone else. She even has a child with him. Now looking back, it wasn’t that she wasn’t ready for a relationship, but that she wasn’t ready for one with me. that’s been the hard realization to make peace with. Sometimes the words people use to soften the blow end up hurting more than they did in the moment, because you eventually realize those words weren’t the whole truth. I’m tired of never being the first pick.
