Yesss! Today I ran my first 8 km. And so proud of the progress!!! For everyone thinking about running but being breathless after half km (also been there). Dont worry it gets better! I have Asthma so that makes the running always harder because my lungs cannot keep up. But with time your body will get used to lower oxygen levels and be more resourceful. I hope that helps somebody.

First things first in my opinion a Month isn't enough to go from "Couch Potato" to "5K" even if you run consistently 3 times a week. Chances are you're going to be seeing a Physiotherapist before a 5K finish line. People remember that unless you already have a physical condition, you're most likely going to overload your legs. It's absolutely crucial for Baby Runners to start training their legs BEFORE they start running, and keep training Legs twice a week afterwards. Lastly, I would personally aim for 8-12 weeks of prep if you're really starting from "Level 0", depending on how you feel đ đ

Iâve followed the C25K app. Highly recommend it for newbees. Ideally with a group so you can motivate eachother through it. It was my week 9 run 2 (1 run away from completing it) and I went to my park run and managed to complete a 5k without stopping. Beyond proud of myself and our little group!

As a runner for 15+ years the 5k is my most popular distance. I ran a 5k last week & I HATED it. This week I did 21k & loved it. It for sure fluctuates & yes yes about the pace!!
