Menteri Keuangan Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa mengungkapkan bahwa Indonesia mendapat tawaran pinjaman dari IMF dan Bank Dunia senilai US$25–30 miliar (sekitar Rp420–500 triliun) saat kunjungan ke Washington DC pada 13–17 April 2026. Namun, tawaran tersebut ia tolak karena kondisi fiskal Indonesia dinilai masih kuat. Purbaya mengatakan Indonesia memiliki bantalan keuangan yang cukup dengan Saldo Anggaran Lebih (SAL) mencapai sekitar Rp420 triliun, sehingga belum membutuhkan tambahan pinjaman dari lembaga internasional. “US$25–30 miliar kalau kamu mau pakai boleh, katanya. Saya bilang sama dia, sekarang saya belum butuh karena saya sendiri punya persediaan hampir US$25 miliar untuk negara kita sendiri, jadi aman.
