Let’s face it, the people supporting this right now aren’t actually thinking about it at that depth. They simply see it as the path forward for them gaining power. I can’t emphasize it enough that although to me it comes off as just stupid and thoughtless these people are just so brainwashed with a massively swollen amygdala that they’ve become indistinguishable from someone just being evil for the sake of power. They just don’t want to lose and have decided that no cost is too high.
