@kiereikierei_soap: yes i am clinically diagnosed with ADHD and have been for 10 years :) ‼️ disclaimers— i know this statement usually is made with misogynistic undertones (i.e it is a sweeping criticism of women as a class below men) and i’m not defending it or using it with this meaning. i’m simply sharing that as someone who literally could not identify nor understand social cues until i was 18, i struggled interacting more with girls than guys, because girls are socialised to be more context heavy and nuanced than boys. i would often abruptly find myself in conflict with other girls, yet i genuinely could almost never tell what i did, as girls would often show their reaction indirectly (tone, body language) without directly calling it out. but of course, the issue is not the gender, it’s just that i prefer direct friends 💗
