@valerielovesgrooming: PSA WE here at Hidden Treasures honor our place in the community doing the mission set before us. We started as a grassroots effort to help the cats as the suffering has been astronomical, and we were unable to turn a blind eye. With that, we earnestly reached out to our County Supervisors and City Council straightforward with our plan. Yes, we solicited and encouraged their help , they both voted unanimously yes for a voucher program, and we were thrilled to begin the process. As many of you now know, the City of Orland has kept their word. The County Supervisors have not! They voted yes, then without a notification nor even a hearing, took it away. So.. We will cover it ourselves. The $25,000 that the Supervisors did something else with, we do not know, still have not even answered our questions. All we know is, we did our part, we obtained the requirements and permits, purchased the building, hired contractors to finish the interior, sought out the veterinarians needed, and we weren't even given a heads up. SPENT a lot of money!. We will fundraise for the County cats, we will not leave them behind, and one thing we know. Our word is good. SO stay tuned we will keep you 💯 percent INFORMED!. Thank you City of Orland and our Mayor Terrie Barr for being on the right ✅️ side of the cat issue. 😇 Shame on those who aren't. You've cursed yourselves. 👿
