My American soul needed this. I'm seeing my country through the fresh eyes of people who've never been here...and it's wonderful. We're acutely aware of how the rest of the world sees us and feels about us, so seeing something positive really means something. If anything comes out of this World Cup, I hope that those visiting will open their hearts and minds to what most Americans are really about. We have our issues like every other country, but we're nice, welcoming, and love connecting with others. We want you to enjoy your time here and explore this country. Have conversations with us.
