I’m maintaining a 20kg weigh loss (still 40kg to go) by looking at my consistency. 3 meals a day and some fruit as snacks. It’s hard, but making me look at my meals better.

TLDR - she says to start with looking at why we are not consistent. Seeing what our problem areas are: like weekend binge, emotion disregulation and using food as comfort, etc. Find your underlying issue pattern

I love this, I just lost 25lbs (yes I did a calorie deficit) but I also stopped being so hard on myself, which is what usually made me spiral. If I wanted to eat something higher calorie I thought about why I wanted it. Was I stress eating or boredom eating, then I don’t need it. Did I eat right all day, week, couple of weeks and it just still sounded good, then I had a reasonably small portion of it and moved on. Deciding that I could do those things as long as my outlook on why I was choosing it was healthy and not going to cause a spiral of “I’ll just start again on Monday” was really the key for me.

Then I had enough and cut items but replaced with other options and allowed some flexibility while keeping my general practices. That's exactly what I realized. I realized that I will never be able to stay in a calorie deficit as long as I eat sugar, because I have constant crashes and need a new dose every hour and a half. So I first got rid of sugar and bread, no calorie deficit, and within two weeks, my cravings normalized and I was able to eat, for the first time in my life, a normal amount of calories per day.

The way you speak clicks with me so well I loveeeee your videos. This is the first time in my life that I’ve been able to lose weight, I literally started by continuing to eat my fave foods but slowly changing the ingredients in them to healthier options. I did that for a month before I finally decided to ease into a cal deficit. I’m 12 pounds down now and I’m so amazed! 😭😭 and instead of gym, I’m enjoying the MOST FUN workout vids at home during my baby’s nap.
