@madinathan77: Arulmigu Vayalur Murugan Temple, Tiruchirappalli The Vayalur Murugan Temple (Sri Subramanya Swami Temple) near Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), Tamil Nadu, is a 1,200-year-old shrine originally built by the Cholas in the 9th century AD. According to legend, a Chola king hunting in the area felt thirsty and tried to cut a unique three-branched sugarcane. Blood oozed from the cane; the king dug the spot and uncovered a Swayambhu (self-manifested) Shiva Linga. He built the original temple there, dedicating it to Lord Shiva, who is worshiped as Adinathar. #fortyshadesofmadi #devaayathana
