One of my art teachers in high school hated when we used Van Gogh because so many students would use him as their inspiration. And I was like, how can you hate a man, for inspiring so many young artists into expressing themselves. A man who went through so much heartache and lived with the belief that he was a failure, he deserves to be recognised and loved, and young artists deserve to feel inspired by his truly one of a kind mind
