Yah, same, interviewed a S’porean (Sg) & M’sian (M) for sales position. Sg kept asking about leave & MC during the interview while M asked about scope of work, career progression, etc. Hired both anyway, then during 3 months probation, guess what? Sg took MC on 4th day which happened to be Fri, then another week, another MC, then finally MIA. Texted her then she said she found the job unsuitable for her, lasted not even 1 month 😐

I had a similar experience with local candidates mainly fresh grads from our 2 most reputable universities.. they actually think that by being from those institutions means they make the cut above the rest..

I don't know about professional interviews but if you meet an SG in the service line, they are not motivated to serve and they do not show enthusiasm
