@peyton_pictures: Let’s talk about the core theme of empathy in Disclosure Day with full spoilers #filmtok #disclosureday #stevenspielberg #emilyblunt #scifi
Now it makes sense why so many ppl say they hated it. It’s because they don’t get it.

Your analysis is better than the movie itself.

The film tells us this in the most awkward & off putting way. The writing failed the direction.

worst movie I've seen in 2026, horrible writing, inconsistent, bad CGI, only good thing about it was Emily's acting.

The message of the movie doesn’t make it unboring or non incoherent. Yes the themes are good but the movie doesn’t have a good plot lol

It was a good message, but kinda fell flat in execution. I felt it had too many big ideas that were jumbled together and just strung along jussst enough to move the plot but not to strengthen it. It couldve been better done but overall it was an average movie

I like this movie the more I think about it. It’s just like Eddington where it becomes more and more relevant as time goes on

I liked it. It compelled me to watch close encounters of the third kind. It was also a good message

I thought it was very powerful that she never used her empathy to make people feel bad or hurt themselves. She gave each of them a loved one and words of comfort.

I haven't seen the movie, but a lot of the comments I have read about seem to me as if those critical of the movie have issues with it from a watsonian perspective; meaning the story itself is not complete and is incoherent using in-universe explanations. You're saying that the over-arching moral of the story was good and there is a real lesson to be learned from it. what is your take on the story itself?

I couldn’t understand him putting her hands on the musical instrument. I know sound has frequencies was it just that or did she mention in the movie that she loved music. ?
