We would love to get a diagnosis but 1, we aren’t an adult bodily. 2, when we mentioned DID to our mother she immediately assumed she was the problem which..isn’t completely wrong. and 3, if we do convince our parents to get us an diagnosis, we would definitely need our parents to be there and we’d just prefer to get the diagnosis as an adult with our own money, but we’ll definitely keep this in mind for the future!

i want confirmation but a diagnosis would ruin my life. yes i live with a whole list of issues that make my life harder everyday but a diagnosis would prevent me from achieving my dreams and my ability to get a job. trying to hold onto the only bit of normalcy that i have and thats college and capitalism, i dont want to be labeled as disabled because of my trauma. i want to know whats wrong but i dont want my hopes and dreams to be crushed by a diagnosis :(

I can’t bc parents don’t care they only said the disassociation is the phone and I got grounded for it.Although I did secretly get medically recognized behind their backs

ironically our therapist who we’ve been seeing since 14 (mandatory) who’s medically recognized us told us her own therapist is one of the few certified DID specialists in our state and she’s helping us out with that now!

i am horribly terrified to get diagnosed. im scared to be honest ab my headmates and its so terrifying knowing that my therapist and psychiatrist and PARENTS know ab it too😭😭

It also depends where you live. Psychologist here don't know what DID is and only psychiatrist can diagnose you and mine said unlikely 😭

We’re questioning. Our host doesn’t want a diagnosis until he’s sure. Because of how “rude” some of us act to those he cares about he’s scared incase he doesn’t actually. None of us know what it would be if he doesn’t have any dissociative disorder. We question OSDD because we don’t have much amnesia, i remember some things from when I’m not fronting but it’s not mostly that clear to me, normally i remember a few seconds or a bit of a conversation but others have it differently for some reason.
