UK Shameless was amazing and it was a springboard for James McAvoy’s career (along with Anne-Marie Duff who he was married to for a while). I could not get into the US version at all

they even reused alot of the jokes and dialogue from the UK office some scenes are shot for shot the same at least in the first 2 seasons anyway after that they kinda had to make their own stuff up cause they surpassed the source material

I don’t understand how the American office is a hit, as all the actors are well known, the reason the British office was good was because you weren’t sure if it was a real office documentary as no one knew any of the actors
