Planning a group ski trip with friends? It’s not just hitting the slopes, it’s an art form. Here’s how we made our trip smooth, fun, and totally worth it: 📅 1. Finding the Right Dates Getting everyone’s schedules to align is hard. Start early, use a poll, and be prepared for some back-and-forth in the group chat. Once the dates are set, the real planning begins 🚙 2. Transportation We rented a 4WD SUV from Kyte, and honestly, it’s the best. They deliver and pick up the car (right outside your home) making the process super convenient. No need to deal with rental counters or lugging your stuff around! It’s amazing if you live in NYC 🏠 3. The Perfect Cabin I found our dream cabin on Airbnb—huge windows, high ceilings, and a cozy conversation pit. It was giving all the modern chalet vibes and made the trip extra special. 🛒 4. Groceries Food planning is key! We stopped at Trader Joe’s in Paramus, NJ, on our way upstate because it’s way cheaper than NYC. For breakfast: bagels, eggs, smoked salmon, and coffee. For dinner: pasta—it’s easy, filling, and everyone loves it. Don’t forget snacks and water for the slopes + apres ski ⛷️ 5. Skiing We skied at Hunter Mountain and Windham. Buy lift tickets 1-2 days in advance to save money and reserve rentals ahead of time (we used Windham Mountain Outfitters). Decide early if you’re skiing one or two days to plan accordingly. 🤪 6. Après Ski The best part!! Think board games, snacks, and cozy vibes in our cabin. It’s those moments that make ski trips unforgettable. 💡 TIP Ski trips are all about coordination—dates, group chats, and splitting costs.
