@my.rookie.reno: Send this to someone who’s also struggling. I’ve finally found the fastest setup so far for removing the old cement render from my 100-year-old house. I got a more powerful 20J SDS Max drill from Scheppach paired with a 80mm wide angled chisel bit helped the render come off way faster! Same wall. Similar-sized patch. Half the time! For reference, the Titan SDS Plus drill was only 8J so less than half the power. I genuinely thought this first wall was still weeks away, but now the end finally feels in sight. Still learning as I go, but that’s all part of the journey. #houserenovation #oldhouserenovation #diyrenovation #homerenovation #renovationjourney

what's the plan once the render is off? leave the brickwork bare or re-render with a breathable material? EWI install too?

The tools make such a big difference! They’re really expensive so we sometimes hesitate to get them but they make the task so much more efficient!

I think you can get those bits with a bend in them which helps with the angle of attack. Good job!
