It's always fascinating how toxins work,rhubarb leaves poisonous, steams perfectly edible. Every part of Laburnum tree is poisonous but when blooming, it's one of best sources of pollen for bees and honey bearing.

The beat way to eat rhubarb is the rhubarb gooseberry coffee cake my grandmother would make every summer. Legitimately I was convinced she put illicit substances in that cake it was so good

I use my grandma's recipe: 10 cups rhubarb, 7 cups sugar, 1 can of crushed pineapple, 3 packs strawberry jello. My kids prefer it over store bought.
