I agree that SS is probably the best novel to get into for beginners since it does a fantastic job at grabbing reader attention and retaining it for extended periods. However, I'd also like to point out it's flaws for it's inconsistency, tautology, and prose. It's a kind of a nightmare for people who are deep into reading. Especially those who are English majors or equivalents like me. G3 tends to use the same descriptive adjectives with a repetitive structure that struggles when it should slow down or speed up in pacing or prose. He has a habit of writing filler chapters with descriptions that are "tell over show" rather than showing the fight, leading to unnecessary word counts to meet a quota that is not G3's fault but WN. That is what I believe at least. I must emphasize that it's not that bad if you overlook these flaws. Although there are more, these are ones that have somewhat bothered me (yet I still continue to read because the story is good enough to keep my attention.)
