You need to be able to work from first principles. AI is still largely garbage at that. It is trained on decades of repository slop.

Claude code made me work in the terminal, and working in the terminal made me learn neovim because opening up multiple big IDEs for each project I worked on in parallel drained my resources. ai made me go from big IDEs like visual studio to primarily work in the terminal. you failed at making me a neovim user while ai succeeded at it. you got beat by ai
