You brought up the case of Mr. Chow; what about the case of Eina Kwon? Cordell Maurice Goosby, a Black man, fired six shots that killed Kwon and her unborn baby. Anti- Blackness …stop it!!! You’re adding more fuel to the fire!! I agree that some Asians should apologize for racist actions or attitudes, but the Black community should also acknowledge wrongdoing where it exists. The actions of Mr. Chow don’t represent all Asians, just as the actions of a few individuals don’t represent an entire community. Where I live, many of us don’t judge people by the color of their skin. So when people say all Asians should apologize, I disagree. Many of us have done nothing wrong. Many of us are not racist. Many of us choose to move forward rather than hold on to the past. I’m all for Black-owned businesses thriving and being successful. But calling for a boycott of Asian-owned businesses simply because they’re Asian is discrimination. If we’re truly against racism, then we should oppose it in all forms, regardless of who it’s directed at.
