Heyy Natalie!! Could I please get some help?? Okay so; I got a genuine question. He’s the avoidant, I’m the anxious. Should I message him first more often or should I let him message me first more often? Let him come to me? Almost as if he was a scared animal? Because I message him first most of the time now. But before, when we were just friends and in the beginning of the relationship, we would message each other equally. But now I message him first more often than he messages first. A lot of the time he’s online but takes a long time to reply to my messages. I think his avoidant attachment has kicked in. And me being the anxious, I’m so scared to loose him. Absolutely terrified. But we both promised each other that we would never leave each other. From watching TikToks about avoidantly attached people, ive learned that I can’t really do anything to help him; he’s gotta do it on his own. But im going to be there for him no matter what. I will never give up on him, and on us. But back to the question; should I message him first more often (like I already am), or should I let him come to me? I want him to feel safe and comfortable, and understand that his heart will forever be safe with me. I want him to heal from his avoidant attachment, and become healthy and happy again.

I got a “been thinking about you” text a couple weeks after she broke up with me. We started with some small talk and ended up on a call, but something I said shifted the tone. What I thought might lead toward reconciling turned into her saying “the relationship was never good, she’s trying to move on, and she doesn’t see a future for us.” She texted the next day saying she didn’t expect the conversation to upset her the way it did and wished me a safe flight back to Austin for work. Later that same day she asked how my weekend was, but I didn’t respond because I was hurt and felt like I had gotten my hopes up. A couple weeks later, she unfollowed me after posting a video with two friends singing karaoke. And yet I still miss her.
