I came to this conclusion in therapy. the nuclear family must be destroyed -- they isolate you and you're stuck dealing with BS until you're finally able to separate yourself. it never dawned on them that I'd be able to solely provide for myself one day

Cutting my whole family off is the best thing I ever did. I realise now I didn’t even love them. How can I love people who don’t know how to love? I’ve spent my whole life healing from stuff they’ve done to me. I only felt an obligation towards them, it wasn’t love. So glad to be free from those shackles and have peace.

I inmediately knew that there is something extremely wrong with the fact that my old man has a problem with me having a bank account he doesnt have access to and that he treats the fact that I make my own decisions and have my own thoughts and opinions as some form of crazy rebellion
