First of all, the initiative had absolutely nothing to do with racism. Spreading the misinformation that migrants who want to live a peaceful life here are not welcome is completely absurd and misleading. The issue is simply that Switzerland’s infrastructure is not keeping pace with population growth, and that is what this initiative was intended to address. It had absolutely nothing to do with being left-wing or right-wing, and migrants who are already living in Switzerland would have benefited from it as well.
