idk I think everybody sucks? it is their wedding. it is their choice. but also a wedding is an event for others to join in and celebrate with you? and if you are making your guests THIS uncomfortable, maybe you shouldn't host a wedding? a wedding isn't a necessity. so a song choice being the hill to die on feels like not it? songs are personal experiences. that's important to note. that's where I feel it lies.

it is not a hill worth dying on. pick a different vocaloid song. there doesn’t seem to be any specific significance for gomene gomene to OP and their partner beyond the vocaloid connection. just pick a different song in the same genre. my god

I love that song, I love Vocaloid, I don’t think I would play that at a wedding. Part of me feels conflicted with the fact it’s their wedding, but at the same time you want your guest to feel comfortable and EDM is a fairly polarizing genre.

I understand the bride, but I also understand the mother. For some people, this might help ease their trauma, while for others, it could be traumatic. I’m in favor of the parents simply not showing up. I mean, I don’t know, but the OP really underestimates this song when they think that “it’s not about the song; they just want a big wedding”
