I remember reading an analysis on why Tucker and Church's relationship was much more strained in later seasons. It had to do with the fact that Epsilon only had the memory of the alpha from a certain point but it was before he knew Tucker, so all the years they were in the force together were only told to Epsilon and not lived memories, and because it was told by Caboose (who is unreliable at story telling and got there after Alpha and Tucker had already been friends) he doesnt know how close he used to be with Tucker. Tucker likely realized this but because of how his is never actually had a sit down with him and told everything, which is why even when Epsilon was there Tucker still felt like he was missing his friend. Thats all i remember from the analysis but i think it brings up great points, i obviously paraphrase that shit, but like you get the idea
