I have 4 and 5 year old boys. Girl you gotta let him run out that energy. Turn off the tv 5-6:30 and let him run outside or play with sensory stuff. And then 6-7 put a chill tv show on

The only thing keeping me calm during that time is routine. It’s soo simple also. Dinner, bath (even if it’s not ‘needed’), some minor screen time so I can do the closing shift (dishes, picking up dining room), and a book before bed. He knows when bed time is, and it honestly helps the night go smooth but also quick!

My best survival tip is a lot of deep breaths. They drop the nap but staying up is just hard until they adjust. I did keep a “quiet time” during his previous nap time, snuggles and maybe something chill on the tv or music. Just to rest but not force sleep. I’ll also add, I watched my nephew who hadn’t dropped his naps yet so it was more out of necessity than anything else lol

Turn off all electronics at 5:30. Lots of playing outside/baths/running. Lots of physical activity. I have a 2 and 4 year old boy.
