Most failed prints aren’t the printer’s fault. When I bought my first printer, I spent two months thinking my machine was broken. It wasn’t. After printing for well over 9 years and helping hundreds of people fix their print issues, I kept seeing the same five mistakes that make every beginner blame the wrong thing. ✅ Clean your print bed. That metal piece where you print? wash it with soap and warm water, and don’t touch the center with your hands. The white color residue is not normal! It should be washed out! ✅ You’re using the default settings. Tunning your printer to work perfectly with the filament brand you use makes a massive difference in the quality of your prints. ✅ Your first layer is too fast. Drop it to 20-40mm/s and watch your problems disappear. ✅ You never clean the nozzle. Old plastic from your prints accumulate and that creates clogs. ✅ Leaving filaments open in the air. They absorb humidity and it’s a great cause of problems in 3D printing. They should be kept sealed and dried commonly.
