during a try out day for a new job one of my tasks was to give my intern account permissions inside the live ad of a local goverment body

I've transferred multiple times in my firm and IT has not removed a single ERP screen from me. I can pull data from purchasing, production, customer service, logistics and warranty. I'm only supposed to have 2 inventory screens...

Why management asking a dev? That’s ITs fault

It’s a trick question, the intern is security admin. After all we don’t want to actually pay someone to do it when we can get the intern to do it for just free tea and coffee and having something that looks good on their CV! 😁

i just got a warning about a forced automatic migration of a azure storage account in my name i didnt remember existed that was used for the test environment for a internal food inventory system at a place i havent worked at for 8 years. turns out the production environment went down at some point in time after i stopped working there and no one knew how to fix it..their solution... just start using the test environment for production... should i give them a heads up there might be some downtime soon?🤣

time makes the difference. 'if it becomes a problem' turns into 'when it becomes a problem'

We once had an issue with admin access and assigned super admin access to a stuffed toy called “Freddy J Frog”, he was listed in the directory for years!

Damn. One of my old jobs treated every promotion and transfer as a hard stop. Once they knew you moved up everything you could access is locked till we knew what you were going to be.

My company uses your full initials for time sheets and billing. Got hired and discovered that my initials in the systems were wrong. Told the person in charge of that system and they got it fixed. Problem is, there was someone who worked at this company with my same initials but left around the time I was BORN.
