@otvhoops: THROWBACK THURSDAY Jalen Brunson Villanova (2015-18) 🔥🔥 The Lincolnshire, IL native helped lead Villanova to 2 NCAA Tournament Championships, 2 Big East Conference Tournament Championships, was a 2x All-American, and 2x First Team All-Big East selection. He was awarded the Naismith College Player of the Year, Big East Player of the Year, Bob Cousy Award, and Lute Olson Award his junior season Brunson helped lead Villanova to 3 Big East regular season championships and ranks #10 all-time in assists in school history (in just 3 seasons). He had his number 1 jersey retired at Villanova in 2023 Coming out of Stevenson High School, he was a 5 star, ranked a top 15 recruit, #1 ranked point guard in the country and a McDonald’s All-American. He was 2x Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year and helped lead Stevenson to a state championship his senior season He went on to be picked second round (#33 overall) in the 2018 NBA Draft and has played seasons in the league which include being a 2x all-star Villanova Legend 💯
