I agree. Chatting etc.. in the screen is rude. I was lucky enough to have been a projectionist where I would be the only person in the screen as I would be watching the film to make sure there were no problems before it was shown to the public.

theater shows maybe only place all is quite and stand up. gigs have so many backs to band chatting about mundane. ,£50+ a picket, why.

Cinemas turn the lights down and the speakers up for a reason, sit down and watch the film! People wanna talk and go on their phones, wait for it on Netflix at home.

That's why I'm only going to art cinemas, BFI, Prince Charles, Barbican, etc. The general public forgot how to behave, especially after Covid. Everyone seems to think that the whole world is their own living room. 😅

Tbf you have a slight American twang. Either way I’ve never had anyone talking / disturbing a film ( movie is very American 🤣 )
