soft top sippys made for an easy transition for us. we kept saying oh your big girl cup. first we got the ones that have a straw and weight so they she can easily get all of the fluid out of the cup has a soft straw and then we did the bigger cups with soft spill proof spout worked great. we also use cups with lids and straws cheap at Walmart. started those around 2 and she is 9 now and still likes her cups. they don't spill much if any and she likes using a straw better than the open cup.
