Also, send a dated letter via certified mail with return receipt requested outlining the needed repairs. Make sure you have a copy of the letter yourself. That puts liability on the complex & gives them 7 days from the receipt of the letter to repair. If everything they messed up is still not repaired after that, then you have a case. Texas is strict, so technically you can’t just withhold rent until you do the things I just recommended.

You can definitely sue for this! Especially if you have proof that you’ve let them know about the damages!! As someone who works in property management this is unacceptable!!
