It took me a long time to understand God’s plan. I had my baby at 20 while I was trying to get into dental hygiene school. After being rejected for the second year in a row, I was crushed. I had prayed for the opportunity to build a better life for my baby, but it felt like my life had come to a stop like he wasn’t listening I felt stuck, wondering if things would ever get better. After my son was born, I decided to try one more time. I was more determined more than ever after looking at my son for the first time because I wanted to create a better future for him. This time, I got in. In that moment, I realized that God hadn’t said no—He had said, “Not yet.” Looking back, I can see that I wasn’t ready then, even though I thought I was I couldn’t understand it at the time. He gave me the opportunity at exactly the right moment, when I was truly ready. Sometimes his timing makes more sense in hindsight than it does while we’re waiting.

I’m just praying for no more bad news of a loss in the family. Since 2018 I’ve lost 2 siblings , my parents, and my son’s German shepherd passed away suddenly. How does one heal from grief when it just keeps coming at you. Im trying not to drown here.
