Thirty minutes later they’re standing in aisle 12 wondering why Americans need a cereal section the size of a regional airport. “Why are there 43 varieties of Oreos?” “Why can I buy a shotgun safe, a wedding cake, a bicycle, and a rotisserie chicken in the same building?” “Why is the orange soda glowing?” Then they wander into the snack aisle and realize Red Dye 40 isn’t an ingredient here, it’s a FREAKING lifestyle. By the time they reach the checkout, they’ve purchased a 72 pack of toilet paper, a gallon of ranch, and enough processed food to trigger a cardiology consult. Welcome to America: home of diabetes, Red Dye 40, mobility scooters, and hospital beds rated for 1,000 pounds. But in all seriousness, we’re a pretty great country too. For all our quirks and excesses, the sheer size and diversity of America is hard to comprehend until you see it. From deserts to forests, mountains to beaches, tiny farm towns to massive cities, there are people, cultures, foods, and landscapes that will ABSOLUTELY blow your mind. 🫶 Just don’t judge us entirely by Walmart please.
