Most cops are good people. I truly believe that. Yes, there are some corrupt cops on a power trip. But being a cop is hard. They just want to go home at the end of the day. Think about this, they are in situations where they have milliseconds to respond to actions/movements of an individual. If they hesitate for a single millisecond. They could be killed. They have to be ready and on edge at all times.

I treat everyone the same. Depending on how they are when I arrive. My job is my job. My body cam will tell you the story. I’m always respectful, if allowed to be, upon first contact. How the suspect act will determine how I proceed. I’m also mixed. It would probably be different if I were white.. it’s sad the he has to think about that ON TOP of everything else.

But also needs to be addressed WHY cops have to address the situation differently. Say I got pulled over the cop asks for my id and stuff, I give it. Do everything he asks. No problem… Someone else might not be so compliant. Might be argumentative. Might escalate. Then I get let go with a warning and the other person is arrested and it’s called racism, which isn’t the case at all. It has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how the situation is handled, attitudes, and mutual respect. 🤷♀️
