You’re so right! I live in Ravenswood now and it’s so boring, there’s nothing to do here. It’s very beige as well. I’m moving to wicker thank goodness. I’m Latino btw.

I’ve lived in Albany park my whole life. I will say it’s pretty diverse. When I go to a neighborhood that’s just white people I feel like an outsider as a white person 🤣. I need some diversity around me.

Mannnnn, I love me some Ravenswood… I’m sorry… If I can afford to buy any Ravenswood, I would🤣👏🏾 so walkable, I feel safe… if I need to leave out of my neighborhood to go do something I can do so on foot and Andersonville, or take a quick Uber to Lake View, I mean, the capability is just endless… if you want a little hurrah, then walk up to uptown, but just don’t bring it back with you when you return to Ravenwood😩🤦🏽♂️

I loved Ravenswood up until about 2005. Before that it was more of a working class neighborhood. I spent most of my free time at lillstreet. Wealthy people started buying up the houses and fundamentally change the vibe of the place. Lillstreet started to cater to their wealthy students to the point one of my close friend lost his job there because he was more concerned with actually teaching people better skills instead of praising them no matter what. I left too and went to Albany Park. But for a period of time it was wonderful.

@themalewendywilliams any recommendations for a 30 year old couple(black and white) moving with a 1 year old? We're pretty low key so would say our main wants are a walkable area with decent amount of restaurants, etc. Family friendly. Budget is pretty open(like <4500)

I work in Ravenswood. So many breweries that allow children, kids everywhere. Very white. Very overpriced. Very boring if you are under 30 unless you like to drink expensive beer.
