@crimehouse247: A Georgia jury has found Desmond Jamal Camp guilty after prosecutors said he held his girlfriend against her will inside a hotel room before a brutal attack left her fleeing for help. Investigators said the woman escaped to the front desk wrapped in a blanket after her clothing had allegedly been cut open with a knife, exposing the front of her body. Hotel employees quickly hid her in a back office and called 911 while officers rushed to the scene. During the trial, prosecutors said Camp became violent after the woman refused to have sex, holding a knife to her throat, cutting her hand, and preventing her from leaving the room. Police said the evidence inside the hotel, including blood found on the bed, supported her account. A jury convicted Camp of family violence aggravated assault and false imprisonment, while acquitting him of several other charges. He is expected to be sentenced at a later date.
