I feel you😂. And I think most people since the late 2010s got into software for that same reason. And it worked for a while. These are the same people fighting vibecoding and A.I right now, well because salaries won't be as high going forward. I've met like 2 or 3 really passionate Software devs, including me since I started out in 2015, that are really into it for other reasons than money. And we have a couple of things in common: None of us work in tech, and almost all of us are into Systems programming & IOT. And all of us have contributed to OSS atleast once. And we are all loving and pushing A.I to the limits.
