Did you know that ancient Aztecs and Mayans believed that they were vessels for a god/goddess. The Aztecs believed that the quetzal bird was a vessel/represented the god “ Quetzalcoatl”. The Mayans believed that the god/ goddess represented “Kukulkan” and the feathers in both cultures where more valuable then gold and powerful rulers wore them with their crowns.
