Look into buying a truck from a dealer or a place that offers warranty its cheaper than the weekly payment for a lease or the high monthly payments companies charge

you get 72.5 % of the load that with fuel just bobtail if you have your own trailer puts you at 79.5 %

At the end of the day I would rather operate my own truck under my own authority, make 97% of my line haul because 2.99% goes to factoring, and pay other expenses that comes with operating a trucking company

You can get landstar experience by driving for a fleet owner, some have programs where you can buy the truck after so many months.
